The new 2027 Chausson X640 Exclusive Line combines the spacious 640 layout with the slim dimensions of Chausson’s innovative X range.
At just 2.10m wide and 6.55m long, it is noticeably narrower than a conventional coachbuilt motorhome, making it easier to drive along country roads, through towns and around tighter campsites.
Compact outside, spacious inside
Built on the Fiat Ducato chassis, the X640 features a 2.2-litre 140bhp diesel engine paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
The SmartLounge has two comfortable face-to-face sofas, creating an open and sociable living area. These convert into forward-facing travelling seats with ISOFIX, while the cab seats swivel around when parked.
Four flexible sleeping spaces
The electric drop-down double bed lowers above the lounge and can remain made up between trips. The lounge can also be converted to provide two additional berths, making the X640 suitable for couples or a family of four.
Because the bed is stored above the lounge during the day, the X640 provides plenty of living space without requiring a fixed rear bedroom.
Impressive rear washroom
At the rear is a spacious full-width washroom with a separate shower, cassette toilet and folding hand basin. Alongside is a large wardrobe and dressing area with excellent storage for longer trips.
The central kitchen includes a two-burner hob, sink, extendable worktop, tall fridge/freezer and generous drawer storage.
